MCCGA Champs workers

March 14, 2012

On Saturday, March 24th, the Willard Band Program will be hosting the Mid-Continent Color Guard Assocation Championships (Winter Guard Competition), at Willard High School.  We have been hosting this very prestigious and large event for the past several years and it has turned into the largest single money-maker our program has.  The profit we make helps keep the cost down to all who enjoy our band program.  We also must keep in mind that each and every year we must re-apply as a host site and could lose this event at any time.  That is why we strive to put on the best MCCGA Championships possible in hopes that it will return here each year.

The primary purpose of this email is to elicit, ask, and beg for workers to help out on the 24th.  We must have the doors open at 7:00 am on the 24th and the final awards ceremony is scheduled for 11:45 pm that evening not to mention clean-up afterwords.  We need three stations of parking attendants outside (due to the construction) and numerous placements of workers indoors.  If you can work 2 hours, 10 hours, or all day WE NEED YOU!!!  If you can help us out please respond to with your name, phone number, and the hours you can work and anyone else in your family.  We need adult workers and student workers of all shapes, sizes, and ages.  My hope is to not need all of the volunteers we have!!!!!! I can at least dream right?

With the number of groups coming this year this will be the largest MCCGA Championships we have ever hosted.  Please help us make it the best that the Willard Band Program can help provide.

Take care,
C    (
