As of right now our Annual Band Christmas Concert is still on for this Sunday, December 15, at 2:00 in the main gym at the high school.
SEVENTH GRADE BAND: IF we have school on Wednesday we are CANCELING EARLY BAND but will have early band ON BOTH THURSDAY AND FRIDAY in preparation for the concert.
We are still taking orders for the large group band pictures (students have order forms) and will be until this coming Friday, December 6. We are also taking orders for the Band CD’s of our fall show. They are $5 each and make great “stocking stuffers” for family and friends. DEADLINE FOR PICTURES/CD ORDERS ARE THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2013. We thank you for your continued support.
The Band Booster Greenery is being delivered and will be ready for everyone to PICKUP on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, FROM 6-8 PM in the MIDDLE SCHOOL CAFETERIA. We THANK YOIU for supporting this cause and need everyone to make arrangements to pickup your orders. It will be very fresh and can not be left at the middle school overnight. We thank you again.
HIGH SCHOOL BAND STUDENTS. You may still sign up for the INDIVIDUAL PICTURES on this SATURDAY before and after the parade which BEGINS at WILLARD POOL. We ask that you are there ready to go by 9:40 am. The parade itself starts at 10 am and ends at the high school.
This is just a friendly reminder that we are asking all of our band parents and family members to please attend a meeting with Dr. Medlin, Superintendent, on Monday evening, November 18th, in the Theater beginning at 6pm. There will be a lot of information provided that evening on a District Wide Facility Master Plan Proposal and a possible Bond Issue in the very near future. We will also have our regular Band Booster Meeting in the band room at 7 pm. We thank you for your continud support.
I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to everyone for your continued support of our Band Program. Your sons/daughters have grown musically and “life-skills-wise” in a wonderful way since camp began back in June. A Marching Band season is long (it’s not totally over yet) but the students kept working and pushing all the way through to the end and that is a testimate to their perservierence. Friday evening was a great way to celebrate with over 600+ band folk. I want to thank the booster club, ALL of the various groups committees, that helped throughout the season, and my fellow staff members on putting together a great musical program and a wonderful banquet. I hope you are as proud and satisfied with what has taken place as I am. And as we know…….things continue……

It seems that the rainy weather is just following us around. Below are our Plan A, B, C, and D for the Playoff game on Wednesday evening.
Plan A=it’s a good night and we march our show in full uniform.
Plan B=it’s wet and muddy and we still march our show. PLEASE BRING CLOTHES THAT CAN GET WET AND MUDDY and we don’t do it uniform.
Plan C= It’s too wet and muddy and we become a very large pep band in the stands and perform our show on the track.
Plan D=The Willard field is unusable and the game is moved to Glendale High School. If this is the case WE WILL NOT go to the game.
THERE WILL BE NO DECISION ON ANY OF THE ABOVE UNTIL SOMETIME ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. WE ARE JUST ASKING FOR EVERYONE TO PLAN AND BE PREPARED.
