Calling ALL MOM & DADS, BAND MEMBERS, and FRIENDS & SUPPORTERS of the Willard Band Program,
On March 29, 2014, the Willard Band Program will once again be hosting the Mid Continent Color Guard Association (MCCGA) Championships on our high school campus. We have been hosting this event for the past 7 years and it has turned into a MAJOR money making event for our program. WE NEED YOUR HELP. We will be hosting close to 70 groups from Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas for the end of the season MCCGA Championships. It is an all-day affair wilth set-up and preparation even beginning on Friday afternoon going through an all-day event on Saturday and clean-up into the wee hours of Sunday morning. Jobs and duties are divided into shifts for sign-up. Our online sign-up website will be opened up next week and we hope you will be able to join us and help out. This event helps us to keep the costs down of band participation for ALL BAND STUDENTS in our program.
We hope to see you on the 29th.
We hope to see you at the Band Booster Meeting tonight at 7:00 pm in the high school bandroom. We have much to discuss and even more plans to make for the next couple of months. We need your help and hope to see you tonight.
The next BAND BOOSTER MEETING will be held on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 7 pm in the high school band room. We need as many in attendance so we may make final plans and arrangements for our program to serve as hosts again for the Mid Continent Color Guard Association Championships in March. This has turned into the largest single fund raiser our booster club does and we NEED HELP FROM ADULTS AND STUDENTS ALIKE. We hope to see you on the 24th.
We are also in need of one, two, or multiple adults to assist in putting together our 2013-2014 BAND VIDEO. We already have a lot of pictures and video footage but we need several adults who like to photoshop and create movies to assist us in the project. We already have a lot of the equipment needed. If you are interested please contact Claire Kauffmann at email@example.com
Our high school and middle school jazz bands are performing very well right now as are the high school and middle school winter guards. More information will be following soon.
We thank you for your continued support of our band program.
